The company
The company Mar Barroso was founded in 1997, in the port area of Punta Umbría, Spain With a great seafaring tradition and knowledge of the raw materials that the sea provides, the company bases its existence and projection on the quality of the products we distribute and their completely artisanal treatment.
In all this time, we have had organic growth both in infrastructure and in the entity of our clients, currently being a benchmark in Spain in the commercialization of cephalopods, mainly octopus.
The factory
Although the production processes completely maintain the artisanal essence, our facilities are equipped with the most advanced technologies, capable of satisfying the most elevated demands of national and international markets.
Our establishment features in-house elaboration of 100% artisanal pre-cooked products, and is equipped with industrial seafood cookers, and processing rooms for cephalopods.
Quality and guarantee
We have the health records of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Andalusia (REG No. 12.0016405/H and REG No. 26.0009833/H) and we work under the strictest standards of quality and food safety,
the accreditation and recognition of IFS Food standard, throughout the entire production process.
